Engagement Manager, Behavioral Science and Healthcare

As an Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Lead Impactful Projects – Drive success by taking end to end ownership of projects, delivering high-quality work, and establishing yourself as the trusted advisor to clients.

  • Develop Behavior Change Strategies – Create and deliver innovative behavioral strategies that transform health and healthcare with measurable results for clients.

  • Grow the Organization– Be a central leader within the firm. Partner closely with VAL Health leadership to shape firm strategy, contribute to client proposals, and provide opinions on key decisions that expand VAL Health’s reach and impact.

  • Support and Develop Others – Proactively mentor and be the go-to resource for junior team members, consistently supporting others to achieve success.

To succeed as an Engagement Manager, you’ll need:

  • MBA, MPH or equivalent lived experiences

  • 5–9 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes

  • Deep fluency in behavioral science, with the ability to translate theory into actionable solutions

  • Extensive understanding of the U.S. healthcare system

  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and build trusted, long-term relationships

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • A unique perspective shaped by lived experience, contributing to inclusive, creative, and human-centered problem-solving

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

This Engagement Manager role is based in New York City with a hybrid approach to in-office and remote work - giving you the flexibility you need while staying connected with the team.
